KRL International LLC, a boutique DC consulting firm specializing in government relations and corporate positioning in emerging markets, seeks an intern to assist with research, writing, and administrative tasks in support of the firm’s Managing Director.  The paid internship will begin on April 16^th with the potential to be reviewed for a full time position after six months.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing administrative support for the Managing Director
• Monitoring and reporting on news events
• Reporting on Congressional hearings and other policy events
• Conducting background research, editing and occasional writing for briefing documents
• Maintaining databases, schedules and contacts

Qualifications:

• Applicants should have graduated in good standing from university   
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be eligible to work in the United States
• Well organized and self motivated
• Ability to work independently
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and various research oriented software
• Interest in international affairs and development, particularly in Africa and Latin America preferred
