Biography: Kajol, the daughter of actress Tanuja and Shomu Mukherjee, made her mark in Bollywood with her second film, the 1993 blockbuster Baazigar. She is considered one of the most talented and successful actresses of the Nineties. She went on to form a highly successful screen pair with Shah Rukh, delivering four super-hits with Karan Arjun, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Kabhi Khusie Kabhi Gham, apart from Baazigar. She played a villainous role in the 1997 film Gupt and became the first actress to win a Filmfare Best Villain Award. At

the peak of her career, Kajol married her long-time boyfriend Ajay Devgan in 1999 and in 2001 took a break from Bollywood.She returned to acting with the film Fanaa in 2004 (the film was released in 2006). Kajol has a daughter Nysa with Ajay Devgan.
