Fatal collision on Folly Road, victims identified

 Charleston County EMS confirms two people were killed Sunday afternoon in a traffic accident that shut down Folly Road for almost three hours
.
The Charleston County Sheriff's Office assisted the Folly Beach Department of Public Safety in investigating a three vehicle accident involving injuries on Folly Road Between Bowen's Island and Sol Legaree Road.
According to the Charleston County Coroner, Joshua Miller, 33, of Folly Beach and James Minchew, 73, of Folly Beach, both died from blunt force trauma. The coroner says Miller was wearing his seatbelt, Minchew was not.
The accident happened around 1:05 p.m.  Folly Road was shut down until almost 4:30 p.m. Traffic officers rerouted traffic off Folly Beach.
According to spokesperson Don Lundy, EMS transported six more people to local hospitals as a result of the wreck: three adults and three toddlers. None of their injuries were critical.
At least five ambulances were on the scene and a spokesperson with Charleston County EMS said one victim had life threatening injuries. Folly Beach Public Safety then confirmed that patient died on the way to the hospital. The other victim died on the scene.
