When Ekta Kapoor was positioning the keenly awaited Tusshar-Riteish starrer Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum even higher than The Dirty Picture in terms of an all-India sale value, she wasn't wrong!
Says a noted trade consultant says, “There is definite curiosity around the film for various reasons - it's a comedy, the original was a hit, Tusshar and Riteish are tested brands in the youth comic space, and above all, the Balaji factor.”
He adds, "That it's a naughty and raunchy comedy definitely helps in making it a hot proposition."
The all-India distribution rights of KSKHH have been sold for a super kool 21.6 cr to a Nagpur-based distributor, who is believed to have recently acquired Rowdy Rathore and Bol Bachchan. The music and satellite rights were also pre-sold.
The film is slated for an August 2 release.
Says Tanuj Garg, CEO - Balaji Motion Pictures, "The sequel is even more crazy and uninhibited than the original! Get ready for a mad ride!”
