Elena Kazan signs 'John Day'

Model-turned-actress Elena Kazan, who shared screen space with Saif Ali Khan in "Agent Vinod", has been roped in to star opposite Randeep Hooda in new film "John Day".

Elena will be playing an Iranian woman, the love interest of Randeep's character. Directed by Ahishor Solomon and produced by Anjum Rizvi and K. Asif, "John Day" is a thriller with an ensemble cast of Naseeruddin Shah, Shernaz Patel, Salim Ghouse and Vipin Sharma.

Sophie Choudary is thrilled with her association with popular TV icon Jay Leno, the singer-actor recently contributed to an automobile minifilm commissioned by the American chat show host.

Known for his impressive automobile collection, Jay Lena recently added the low- cost Indian four- wheeler to his wishlist, commissioning a minivideo to capture the entire process from production stages to its delivery in the star’s Los Angeles garage, background music of which was arranged by the Indo-British singer.

I don't look like village girl: Kalki

Kalki Koechlin, who has worked in her husband Anurag Kashyap's directorial ventures, is not part of "Gangs Of Wasseypur" because, she says, she doesn't fit into village belle's character.

Asked why she wasn't a part of the cast of Jharkhand-based "Gangs Of Wasseypur", Kalki said: "I don't look like a Bihari gaon ki ladki (a village girl from Bihar) from any angle. So that's simply why."
