Hum Tum Music Review

Hum Saath Saath Hain, Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega, Dil Chahta Hai, RHTDM, NTJNH, Kal Ho Na Ho, LOC - are some movies of the recent past where Saif Ali Khan gained recognition. But all these movies had at least one more lead hero besides him. Yes, there was 'Ek Haseena Thi' released just recently but there he played the role of a villain. After a long time, he gets to play the role of a solo hero in a movie with the icing on the cake being that it is a Yash Chopra presentation. Rani Mukherjee, who is vying at the number one slot, is the heroine opposite Saif while Rishi Kapoor (who has shed a lot of weight in the recent past) makes a sort of comeback. Reputed film critic Kunal Kohli gets a second chance by the Chopra camp to wield the megaphone after lower than expected response to 'Mujhse Dosti Karoge' a couple of years back. Aditya Chopra, who has been

Humko Tumse Pyaar Hai Music Review

Till about a few years back long titles were in a vogue and every second movie belonged to the romance genre. 'Hum Ko Tumse Pyaar Hai' belongs to the same category. Launched a few years back, its production came to a standstill due to the sudden demise of its director Bunty Soorma. Vikram Bhatt took over the reins of direction to complete the remaining portions for this Ali Morani, Bunty Soorma, Karim Morani production that is now ready for release and stars Bobby Deol, Arjun Rampal and Amisha Patel in lead roles. The musical 'jodi' of Anand Raaj Anand and Dev Kohli come together again for HTPH.

Humko Deewana Ker Gaye Music Review

After a gap of 3 years since 'Andaaz', Raj Kanwar returns with yet another musical, 'Humko Deewana Kar Gaye' that again stars Akshay Kumar along with Katrina Kaif, Bipasha Basu and the 'Maine Pyaar Kiya' jodi of Salman Khan and Bhagyashree in special appearance. A T-Series film that is also co-produced by Raj Kanwar, HDKG has the songs department handled by Anu Malik and Sameer. With an A-star cast like this and a good musical record of Kanwar's films in the past, most notably being 'Andaaz' where which music played an integral part, expectations are pretty good from HDKG as well.

Hulchul Music Review

Hera Pheri, Hungama and now Hulchul - Priyadarshan has been directing multi-starrer comedies with quite ease for last few years. Hulchul, a Venus production with Manohar Kanungo as the co-producer, too boasts of a fine lineup of actors that comprise of Akshaye Khanna, Kareena Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Jackie Shroff, Sunil Shetty, Arshad Warsi, Arbaaz Khan and Amrish Puri. Supposed to be a laugh riot, the initial promos have already created a stir and the movie is being awaited this winter. With lyrics by Sameer, composer from the

Home Delivery Music Review

An EXTRA LARGE COMEDY is on your way to conclude 2005 that has seen innumerous comedies coming on the silver screen practically every fortnight. The name is 'Home Delivery', a Sujoy Ghosh movie that stars Vivek Oberoi, Boman Irani, Mahima Chaudhary and Ayesha Takia in principal roles. Musical team for HD [music: Vishal Shekhar, lyrics: Vishal) is the same as in the case of Ghosh's last 'Jhankaar Beats'. A Percept Picture Company production presented by Sahara Ones Motion Picture, HD has been in news since its making and promises to be a whacky urban comedy with a message.

Holiday Music Review

'This holiday, come fall in love....with yourself'

This is what producer-director Pooja Bhatt conveys through the tagline of her latest venture 'Holiday'. Set in Goa, this 'musical' is co-produced by Sujit Kumar Singh and stars Dino Morea in the lead who is surrounded by females all around ranging from debutant Onjolee Nair to Kashmira Shah and Nauheed Cyrusi. Gulshan Grover and Anahita Oberoi form rest of the starcast of 'Holiday' that has music by Ranjit Barot. When Neelesh Misra and Mehboob are at the helm of lyrics then one expects some out of the ordinary and 'different' kind of songs.

Haan Meine Bhi Pyaar Kiya Hai Music Review

The wait for seeing the dazzling couple of Abhishek Bachchan and Karisma Kapoor on screen is finally over with curiously titled 'Haan...Maine Bhi Pyaar Kiya' (HMBPK). Akhsay Kumar forms the third side of this love triangle directed by Dharmesh Darshan after Dhadkan. Expectations from the director-actress are high after record breaking Raja Hindustani in this musical love story. HMBPK is produced by Suneel Darshan, who has earlier given two hits - Jaanwar and Ek Rishta with Akshay Kumar. After Raja Hindustani and Dhadkan, Nadeem Shravan and Sameer are

Golmaal Music Review

Golmaal Music Review

From a hilarious 2005, the season of comedies continues in 2006 with massive back to back successes of 'Malamaal Weekly' and 'Phir Hera Pheri'. While 'Malamaal Weekly' hardly had any numbers to talk about and music of 'Phir Hera Pheri' gained most from the call of 'Ae Meri Zohrajabeen', one expects a rollicking soundtrack from Vishal-Shekhar who have been the composer duo responsible for bringing a new age funky soundtrack to Bollywood films. Starring the quartet of Ajay Devgan, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor and Sharman Joshi along with one and only Paresh Rawal, the film has Rimi Sen as the solitary heroine with Vishal Dadlani and Kumaar coming together for lyrics. Months after their last full fledged score in 'Taxi No. 9211' [they composed a solitary qawalli in 'Tathastu'], Vishal Shekhar promise to return with a bang with the musical score of 'Golmaal', a Rohit Shetty film.

Garam Masala Music Review

Garam Masala Music Review

When Akshay Kumar, John Abraham and Paresh Rawal come together in a high voltage comedy, it should have been aptly titled 'Mirchi'. But then the makers chose to give it an alternate name and here we have 'Garam Masala' joining the season of comedies that are all working in a big way. With Priyadarshan at the helm who has behind him a hat trick of successes with Paresh Rawal [Hera Pheri, Hungama, Hulchul] aided by three gorgeous women making their debut [Daisy, Neetu, Nargis] and Rimmi Sen as a part of the starcast, GM promises to be a fun ride all the way this 'Diwali'. Remake of Priyan's own Malayalam hit 'Boeing Boeing', GM has music by Preetam and lyrics by Sameer

Gangster Music Review

There are certain albums that come with a guaranteed success tag, at least on the face value. 'Gangster - A Love Story' is one of them! After all why not when you have three important factors that make the music of 'Gangster' HOT -

a) Emraan Hashmi, who has an enviable success rate of near 100% when it comes to music of his films

b) Mukesh Bhatt, whose films have always boasted of popular melodious music for more than a decade now

c) Pritam, whose compositions have more often than not hit a chord with the youth since the time he started
